The 2023–2024 FAFSA® Application is Here!
Please complete your 2023/2024 FAFSA application HERE using your 2021 taxes or income information. Please be advised that this award year does not begin until July 1, 2023. If you plan to start school before July 1st, you should also complete the 2022/2023 FAFSA.
Tuition Scholarships are also available. Learn how to apply.
In the world of financial
assistance, students have many
different forms available. Scholarships are financial awards given to eligible
students and do not require
repayment. Grants can be federal, state, or privately issued and do not require
repayment. Loans are a form of
low-interest debt that must eventually be repaid and are a good option for those who
do not qualify for a grant.
The Rolf Institute administers two financial aid programs to help cover tuition (fees
are not included) for
students who qualify – Federal Pell Grants and Federal Direct Student Loans.
Students receiving Title IV
Financial Aid must maintain attendance and academic standards to remain eligible for
continued
participation.
Speak with our Financial Aid Department at 303-449-5903
x107 or finaid@rolf.org to see if you
qualify.
We do not offer undergraduate degree programs. Our Rolfing Certificate Program is offered in three phases. Financial aid is available to students who qualify.
Note: Only students attending the school in Boulder for the entire training are eligible for Title IV financial aid.
Estimates do not represent a final determination, or actual award, of financial
assistance or a final net price;
they are only estimates based on the price of attendance and financial aid provided
to students. Price of
attendance and financial aid availability change from year to year. These estimates
shall not be binding on the
Secretary of Education, the institution of higher education, or the State. Not all
students receive financial
aid.
Some students may be eligible for student loans. Students must
complete the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA) to determine their eligibility for Federal financial aid.
When completing the FAFSA application(s) online, please be sure to add the Rolf Institute as one of the institutions you want your FAFSA application to be sent. DIRI’s school code is 041725. You will need to use your tax return/income information from two years before the FAFSA start year you are completing (for example- 2019 income needed for the 2021/2022 FAFSA).
Students cannot currently have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher to be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant. If you have not received a Bachelor’s Degree or higher and have not exhausted benefits at another school, you may still have some Pell Grant eligibility.
Because Federal Aid amounts are limited (Independent borrowers may be eligible for up to $7,716 in loans while Dependent borrows may be eligible for $4,467), most students will have a balance to cover out of pocket.
Cost of Attendance
In deciding to start a certificate course, students must consider all of the program's costs. A student’s Cost of Attendance (COA) budget includes tuition, fees, books, supplies, room and board allowances, miscellaneous personal expenses, and transportation to/from school. The tuition, fees, books, and supplies component are calculated based on the institutional charges recorded in DIRI’s Academic Program Record.
The budget should represent reasonable cost estimates for the student, not the entire family, and should not reflect a higher standard of living than one would reasonably expect. Excessive budgets can result in unnecessary over-borrowing on the part of students.
Please use the net cost calculator below to calculate your expected Cost of Attendance for the DIRI Program.

Other Resources
Funds can be applied to any of the three phases.
Loans
Because Federal Aid amounts are limited (Independent borrowers may be eligible for up to $7,716 in loans while Dependent borrows may be eligible for $4,467), students can apply for private student loans through many outside sources to help alleviate some of their balance.
These funds can be applied to any of the three phases.
Here are some questions to ask when exploring a private loan lender:
- What is my FICO score and/or the FICO of my co-signer?
- Check for Free: www.creditscorecard.com
- Are there loan fees or repayment fees?
- What is the interest rate range?
- Is the rate fixed or variable?
- If variable, how high can the rate go?
- When does repayment begin?
- Are in-school payments required?
- What will the monthly payment be?
- What will the total cost of the loan be?
- Will I need a Co-Signer?
- How do they evaluate the Co-Signer (credit score,
history, debt-to-income ratio)?
- Can they be released after a certain number of payments?
- How do they evaluate the Co-Signer (credit score,
history, debt-to-income ratio)?
- Are there interest rate reductions for automatic withdrawal payments, or do you have an existing account?
- Are there deferment or forbearance options available?
- Is the loan forgivable in the case of death or disability?

Scholarships:
Scholarships are considered “free money” and do not require repayment. They should never cost you anything to apply for them.
The Rolf Institute offers Scholarships for qualifying students.
Many companies also offer scholarships for continuing education. Many can be found online. It is recommended that you “think outside the box” when applying.
Do not limit yourself. Seek scholarships for other types of body workers (i.e., massage, acupressure, etc.), as many may have funds available to award students of structural integration. You can also search for scholarships offered for gender, race, veteran status, or previous places of employment.
Scholarship Databases provide the ability to search for multiple opportunities. Please note that you will likely need to register for these sites to be matched with awards that personally fit your needs.
